OK I mentioned this briefly in a thread yesterday, but as of a few minutes ago there's a Facebook event page to share.

My band is opening for frickin LETTUCE! As in this Lettuce.

What could be more exciting than that?

Props man! I saw them in the Forest this year (Rothbury, Michigan). That is going to be an awesome experience, congratulations!

Congrats! Lettuce is ridiculous, and it'll be a great show. Been a fan of your band for about a year now, always checking out new vids on YouTube.

Interestingly, one of my favorites you guys do doesn't have you in it (sorry)! The cover of A Space Oddity is one of the vids I show off to my friends to try and 'convert' them.

Man your band is CRAZY good! Love your stuff! It's like Lenny Kravits with some fusion , funk, soul, and a tiny bit of in your face rock stirred in for good measure. I will be downloading your latest venture for sure. You and your drummer are SICK tight. The off beat stuff is just too cool.

Enjoy the show with LETTUCE. Get up there and kick some!

    I'll show you sorry...

Seriously, though, that Space Oddity jam is unreal. Thanks for spreading the good word!

Humbling words, sir. And yeah, I fully admit that I'm the most spoiled bass player in the world. Chino (our drummer) is insane.

Hope you enjoy the record! And thanks for the support. One of Toronto's most respected music critics did a write up about the album a couple of weeks ago in case you're interested in doing some reading first:

    Hi Mr. KCLRbass,

Yes, I've enjoyed your music too.

It's always exciting to open for a major act. I wish you much success. Perhaps touring and record deals are in your future? I hope this leads to bigger and better things for you. Now get out there and play your a** off, have a great time, and blow the roof off. :D

All the best to you and yours,

    BassCliff

Thanks man! Yeah it IS always fun playing for big acts. We've played with bigger bands than Lettuce, but...I mean...this is LETTUCE! We're so stoked.

We're already preparing to make this our tightest, sickest set ever.

In case anyone in the area wants to come out, advance tickets are now available.

Oh shoot. I totally forgot to post about this. First off, it was an incredible show! We've played some huge shows before, but usually at outdoor festivals. This is the first time I've played for 1200 people in a CLUB. It was intense and so much fun.

Lettuce was unbelievable. So tight, so funky, so inspiring. Got the chance to chat with them a bit, and they were generous with their time and advice.

In short, it couldn't have been better. Here's a recording of Lettuce's set (didn't record our set...sorry).

Here are some photos from our set (no shots of handsome ol' me...sorry)
