Picked this up about a month ago in the TB Classifieds from Mntngrown. I was going to use this as the power section for my Monique, but just ended up with a Shuttle 6.0 in a trade and I am going to use it instead. Condition is very good and the original tubes were swapped for JJ's. A 12AT7 in V1 and a 12AX7 in V2. Comes with the original Orange gig bag.

$675obo shipped conus. Not looking for any trades at this time.

Bump for a great amp and question. What did swapping one of the 12AX7s for the 12AT7 accomplish?

I came across the recommendation in a thread about tube swaps for the Terror Bass. I found this combination made the amp a bit more 'polite'. The volume and gain controls are less touchy and the gain can be turned up higher before distortion. With the stock 12AX7 it went from quiet to very loud with a very small turn on the volume control. Now it takes a bit more movement and is easier to get my desired volume level.

Thank you...a good move for sure. These babies went from 0-60 in 3 seconds!! 0-60 in 6 seconds is better. :D
