Hello, first time posting here so excuse me if this isn't really the place to ask.

I've currently got an SWR Triad cabinet that is rated for 400W at 4ohms. I've been looking at new heads and I spotted an Orange Terror Bass 500, which is 500W and I think the ohms can be switched, for a pretty decent price. I've tried looking up whether or not putting 500W through the amp would cause a problem because (correct me if I'm wrong) the 15" speaker is rated for 250W and the 10" is rated for 150W. I wasn't sure if this would cause any major problems with volume or busting a speaker, because I definitely don't want either of those.

So long question short, would I be able to run this in my current cab, or what?

You can run any amp with any cab is you use your ears and what is between them.

That said, the triads are prone to blowing speakers. Be careful and you will be fine.
