Hi, took my Aria STB p bass to a local shop to get a few issues fixed. These were a new nut, lower the action, fix a pick up ( on the E and A) string and sort out a floating tone pot. I'd bought it second hand and it seemed worth rescuing. Apart from the action it played fine.

Now the action is great but you can barely hear it and the tone knob seems to be working as a volume as well. If you turn it to low you lose all output.

My other basses make the walls crumble on the same amp settings.

I'll take if back when I can but just wondering if there's anything obvious I can check?

    The lead jack seems secure.

    Any tips grateful received.

    Paul

    Was the pickup height reset?

Take it back, and tell them to "FIX it". How long is the labor guaranteed for? 30 days? 90 day? 1 year?

Be sure you know that, and get back before your labor warranty expires.

Thanks, yes I will take it back. The pick up height looks right as far as I can tell. I'm sure they'll be gone about it. Just wondered if there was anything obvious I could check.
