Has anybody ever made a bass with a precision pickup and a jazz neck pickup? I always see a P/J configuration with the bridge pickup - but personally never use the bridge pickup! A bass with a p bass pickup and a jazz neck pickup and the ability to blend the 2 would be my dream bass! Is this possible or are there phasing/hum issues?

Actually it seems a bit redundant. The p pups are great for low end heavy sounds and the jazz neck pup does kind of the same thing. I don't see how adding a neck pup would help. Sorry

I have a P bass with 2 P pickups and don't like the P in the bridge position, at all.
