I am looking at purchasing a used Peavey Fury IV Bass, can anyone shed any light on this for me?
They are asking $250 including soft case and strap.
    Serial number is 01070259
    How old is it?
What would it be worth? I know it does have a knick on the bottom.
Would this be a good deal for a beginner bassist?

    Any info would be helpful.

    Thank you in advance.

They're decent basses, made in Korea. Made in the 90s, I think.

They're active basses with VFL pickups, same as what's on the Peavey Cirrus.

    $200 - 225 is a fair price.

They're a good beginners bass, especially if you want an active bass.

I had one but sold it. Wished I would have kept it now.

Technically what's it worth threads are for supporting members only but I can tell you that bass is overpriced. Don't know how old your bass is but it is a decent starter bass, not worth upgrading though. The 4 string model is decent but the B string on the 5/6 string basses is just horrible. I used to have a Fury VI.
