Hello again TB community. Well first off, I finally got my pentabuzz, and I am in love with it. As soon as I started to play, I was like : O what the f***!!! What a beautiful instrument. The sustain, the sound, the feel, the beauty. Anyway I would like to thank you guys for all your help and advice that got me here.

Anyway, my question is. What is the best way to clean the fingerboard? Mild soap? Windex? Lol. I know pedulla has a product, but are there any household products I can use? Otherwise will prob get pedulla product. Want to preserve this bass for EVER :). Thanks again.

Tung oil is recommended on natural finish woods.
I have an Ebony fingerboard on my Stambaugh and
Chris uses it. It cleans wood quite well.
    Enjoy that BUZZ bass.
It's got the Oooo factor to me.

I will check with Pedulla, you do not want the fingerboard to absorb any non friendly substances. They don't use epoxy, don't remember but I believe they use polyurethane to coat the fingerboard so check with them.

Pedullas have a polyester finish and they recommend an auto polish like DuPont #7 for general cleaning & polishing.

When you change strings rub the fingerboard down with a soft pad like Scotch brand and then rub it down with tung oil, wiping away any excess after a couple minutes.

Tung oil is for bare wood. Pedulla Buzz' use polyester finish.

For those recommending tung oil, this bass has a hard poly finish on the fingerboard. I can imagine what a mess that will make!
