    I absolutely love and enjoy TalkBass, it's a great treasure trove of information. That being said I find it hilarious how you can start a thread or ask a question and get every bit of information you did not need and none of what you asked about.

    Example;

    I like pickles and mustard. What do you like about pickles and mustard?

    Answer;

    Ketchup and onions is the greatest. Ketchup and onions are best when used with big buns. I really like ketchup and onions.

    Scroo ketchup and onions! I clicked on this thread cause I dig pickles and mustard. Sometimes I make a pickle and mustard sammich if there's no meat around and I dig it.

    And, then, there are pickled carrots, too.

    I make my own hot mustard and it's almost dangerous. All you have to do is mix mustard flour with vinegar (I like rice vinegar) I to a thin paste, and let it sit in the refrigerator overnight. It'll thicken as it sits, so add more vinegar or water to get the consistency you want, and have at it!

    There's a restaurant in my neighborhood that specializes in Southern style fried chicken and biscuits, and they make a sandwich that has pickles, mustard, and honey on the fried chicken on a biscuit. Super YUM!

    I put Yellow Mustard on Tater Tots. My family thinks I'm nuts because Ketchup is for potatoes but I'm an independent thinker.

    I don't even like ketchup. Substitute hot sauce for ketchup or you are probably a guitarist. Or something even worse. I can't believe any self respecting bass player would even bring up ketchup.

    Oh, mustard. Right.

    Since I have no self respect I don't have to worry if anyone cares that I put ketchup and mustard on my hot dogs. (and dill relish if there's any lying around.)

    on toast, you can put peanut butter with: bananas, or honey or grape jam or raspberry jam or strawberry jam, but not marmalade IMHO AFAIK YMMV........do NOT spread any of the above ingredients with a pick, use your fingers only!!!!!!!!!!

    I read that mustard is great to revive old strings. Just let them marinade in mustard overnight, and you can add pickles to bring back the overtones of when they were new. But it only works if you play fingerstyle. Of course...what kind of player would play with a pick ?
