Awesome on most instruments I have tried it on.

I have used it on Ukelele, Guitar, Banjo, Electric Basses, Acoustic Guitar, etc...

I have used it in a club setting on my electric basses and it works great. Very responsive.

The B string depends on the instrument for the open string but generally the B string picks up fine with the 12th fret or 5th fret harmonic.

I have noticed if you clap it too tightly it does not respond as well as if it was one ratchet clamp looser.

I have one on all of my basses currently except my Ken Smiths... There isnt the most room on the Ken Smith 6 String Headstocks I have but some are mounting it at the top of the headstock instead.

Click the photo gallery on the website to see some more installed pix.

I have an intellitouch tuner... The black one... It didn't work too well on my electrics, tuning in noisy situations... Have you used this thing in a loud setting?

I have gone to Jam Sessions where I pull my bass out and tune up really quick before going up on stage. It works just fine as if there was no music playing. But now, Its so quick and easy to turn on I don't have to fumble with anything I can tune up while I am walking onto the stage!

Speaking of the Kala U-Bass however... Last night I was at a jam and noticed a guy trying to tune his acoustic hollow body U-Bass. I popped mine on his, and he couldnt get the E A D strings to tune... My guess was the loud music that was playing was vibrating through the body of the instrument making it also vibrate the tuner and not work. The U-Bass acted as a pickup at that point! Have you experienced that SBassman?

I haven't had it at a gig yet, so I can't say I know how it will all behave in a loud situation. But - Scotch over in the Kala Club thread uses one on his acoustic U-Bass, and he says he hasn't had any trouble. He plays big arena gigs.

I will definitely report back when I log some gig time with it.

I got one too... And it does work well... Better than my intellitouch... I like leaving it on the headstock too. Really convenient...
