It was stupid loud far as small as the venue was... But is was awesome. I have always heard good things about the old school acoustic amps but this is the first time I have heard/seen one in person. I kinda want one but dragging the cabs for it would get old real pretty fast.

  2. And they tossed a mic in front of it, why??

Looks awesome, I bet that was a blast (literally) to play through.

    Ha!

Anyone know how the new generation Guitar Center version of these hole up to the vintage rigs? I've always wanted an Acoustic set up and now that they're available again I'm sort if GASsing for one.

I'm still curious how the new ACC USA stuff compares to vintage, not that I'd ever buy one.

Those aren't the Guitar Center ones....those appear to be the Acoustic USA reissues. If you're GASsing for one check with Atlanta Bass Gallery. They had one not too long ago. I saw Blackberry Smoke about a month ago and Richard Turner had swapped out his Orange rig for these. Sounded great.

  20. That is stupid loud looking and I want it. A friend of mine from the old school told me that were the loudest bass amps back in the day. I hope to play one one day. The Kustom 250 stack I had just didn't cut it. But it looked good

Playing that double stack would have to be a peak musical experience. I could never justify owning two of those cabinets. But I play enough outdoor gigs and occasional large-scale productions to be thinking seriously about moving out a bunch of other gear to get one of these new Acoustic USA 360/361s. I am the target market: a middle-aged semi-pro guy who still has rock dreams, can still move big gear, and at has least some of the disposable income necessary to play. Who wants the best-looking gear.
