Most Aussie bass players will know of Steve Hunter (not to be confused with the American guitarist of the same name).

Steve has recorded and toured with a who's who of Aussie bands and solo artists. He has also played internationally with some of the giants of jazz, including Chick Corea and Billy Cobham.

One current survey ranks him as one of the top 100 jazz bassists of all time.

As bandleader and composer he has consistently created some of the most exciting contemporary electric jazz anywhere. Occasionally the planets are in alignment and a particular gig captures an ineffable greatness. One night the gods were smiling and such a gig was recorded at 505 in Sydney, Australia.

(It's not all a chopfest - there is great ensemble playing too.)

Steve is crowdfunding this project as it promises a level of creative and financial control that he hasn't had with his previous releases. (That's a nice way of saying that in 7 previous label releases that have sold thousands, he's made sweet FA.)

Please support Steve and help this great live album get released. You can save money be pre-ordering the download or CD or heaps of other cool stuff.

Just go to the campaign here.

    Thanks everyone in advance.
