I searched but only found old threads...now it is 3 years later so...

Anyone have a pocket camcorder they really like? I lost my Flip :( and need a new one. I have been searching but having trouble finding one that has everything I want.

    Must have:

    Auto Focus
    60FPS at 720P and 30@1080
Waterproof would be nice, but not necessary
Must have some sort of audio out for me to be able to record video bass covers with synced audio. It's been a while...I can do that with an HDMI port on the device, right?

That's about it. I love Samsung products, but the ones I saw have some of the features but not the others etc.

Anybody got one they like with these features?

I can't stand the "Fish-eye" lens. It's permanent. You can use software to reduce it, but it doesn't look as good as being filmed with a regular lens.

That's the sole reason I haven't bought one. Apart from that, they're great cameras (good quality, durable, etc)

I have the Kodak Playsport Zx3. Carry it withme everywhere. Great camera but they don't make it anymore. The new Playfull Zi12 looks great (not waterproof like the playsport but great quality vids)

And since you like Samsung stuff. I've heard good things about the Samsung W190 and Samsung HMX-W300 (waterproof)

Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought the newest version let you switch between fish eye and "normal".

I looked at both of these and they were lacking. The W190 does not have a microphone input for recording bass covers that I need. The HMX 300 does not shoot at 60 FPS @ 720P...

Any other brands you can recommend?

Have you sen the new Zoom Q4? I'd probably go with that. I have a new Lumia phone, and it does as good or better job at video and audio than I need.

Sort of. You can set it to "narrow" view which basically cuts the picture so that your only seeing the center of the scene. It still has some but not as noticeable.

The field of view is cut way down though.
