After watching a WASP vid on youtube [Wild Child], I am wondering how many still have their Black Widows, Warlocks, Iceman/Destroyers,ect. Do they still get played?

For full discloser, I did have an Ibenez re-issue of the Iceman/Destroyer. Loved it, but had to sell it. I really loved that neck. Also, my frist guitar was a Westone star shape, white with a red lightning bolt. I think it made me play faster.

I'm pretty sure that Iceman and Destroyers are 2 different shapes/models.

I have an 80s Destroyer PJ. I cannot wait to play it regularly... it's getting majorly overhauled and I keep having to set the project down for other things.

Your correct, they are two different models, thanks. I had the Iceman re-issue.

  5. Never owned any of the above mentioned basses, but did get to play a BC Rich Warlock that belonged to my guitarist. We were doing an 80s metal cover band. It was hard for me to play because I'm so short and the location of the top strap button put the bass in a position where I had to actually lunge at the first and second frets to reach them. It was cool to play but disappointing all at once!

I had an Iceman as my backup for a while. Played alright. Serious neck dive issues though. Sold it for next to nothing because I was young and didn't realize that GC rips you off when you sell gear back to them.

I have a few "Pointy" basses, including a replica of Blackie's Widow bass, and yep, they all get played

My Ironbird and Warlock aren't in this pic though:)

The top and bottom bass on the right look they have tuning pegs on the body (and they are not headless). What gives?

P.S. the pic is ruined with the Yammy guitar:bag:

The 2 basses with tuners on the bottom are Vintage B.C.Rich Bich 8 string basses, but, to me the 8 string sound is only novel for about 2 days, then it becomes boring, so I use them as 4 stringers, but I only buy the 8 string versions to give an excuse for the horrendous design of the rear of the bass

Here is my 1985 Supreme, when it had 8 strings and the original bridge on it

And that Yamaha "Guitar" is a BASS ! LOL, it is a John Myung mk1, I had a turqouise one as well, but sold it recently and bought the Spector amazingly cheap:)

    I had one

It has been decided for me, My thighs are too big for Eagle basses, I.E., the damn lower horn used to dig into my leg something chronic LOL

  13. Everybody knows pointy basses only sounded good in the 80's, and are even more obsolete than tube amps.:D

Don't have these last 2 anymore. The white one was surprisingly good for a cheap bass, the other one sounded like poop on a stick.

If you still own the white Bich 8, could you please send me more pictures and the serial # to

    lorne.peakman@googlemail.com

So that I can add it to the Unofficial B.C.Rich serial number Archive

    Thanks:)

  16. Where's the serial located on these? I"ll have to dig it out and take a look. Everything but my Steinberger is packed away while I'm renovating the music room.

It should be stamped into the rear of the headstock, although later ones have it stamped into the end of the fretboard:)

  18. i have a aria pro-2 xrb that gets a bit of use. its not pointy except the headstock.
