I was wondering if there as an amp out there that would be similar in sound to the one Alleva-Coppolo uses.

In other words, I'm looking for a very subtle 2 band pre with a passive tone control.

The nordstrand 2 band is great and Ive been using the stingray 2 band in my 76 jazz recently and might like that one the best.

That was actually my guess, since you can have it with a tone control. Thanks for the answer :)
