Very quick question, does anyone know if the pick ups in a ESP LTD B206 SM are active or passive? I'm trying to order a obp3 preamp and my bass is at home.

    Thanks!

  2. It won't matter whether they are active or passive, unless you intend to change the pots.

I am getting it prewired, so I need to know before I order. Thanks!

Didn't find anything definitive on the pickups-
best to take the time to pull the control cover and verify whether there is/or not a hot (9v) lead/wire going to each pickup before ordering a pre-packaged preamp.

The pickups in my (pre-SM) B206 are passive.

Thanks mate. I had a look last night and they are indeed passive. I might record a couple of clips tonight for an A/B.
