He made a huge contribution to the comic playbook of my lifetime. Sad loss.
reports are that he couldn't recover from complications that evolved from diverticulitis.
Bill Murray and he were genius together....pure genius.

A big R.I.P. from me. Stripes is my favorite movie of all time. 69 seems young! Sad.

  11. Gutted :(

I was a massive fan of his works, seems he was an all round nice guy.

    **** :(

  12. Damn......GB and Stripes were favorites of mine. Love him in Stripes though, what a fantastic movie.

Shame Bill Murray is such a dick... he probably will not come to the funeral either. There is a reason they don't work together and are not even friends anymore.

I am personally quite saddened by this news, Ramis was classic.

I just spotted this on Yahoo before I came here--I'm really shocked and saddened. A brilliant comedic mind who wrote, directed and acted in some of the biggest and best comedies of the last 35 years, not to mention Second City and SCTV. And a proud Chicagoan, too. RIP.:(

    I'll have an IPA, please.
Harold Ramis pretty much shaped modern comedy. He was involved in some respect with SCTV, Animal House, Caddyshack, National Lampoon's Vacation, Stripes, Ghostbusters, and Groundhog Day.

An aside, I (kinda) worked with him at a recording studio years ago, and he seemed like a genuinely nice person.

RIP, good Sir. You will be missed.

    R.I.P. Mr. Ramis
    Thanks for all the laughs
  20. That's a sad loss.

I'm in the minority (as usual) who think that 'Year One' was comic genius.
