Ok this will likely come across as a dumb question, but I can't seem to find the answer. On these pre-amps, can you use both the 1/4" and XLR outputs at the same time? For example, can you use the 1/4" into a power amp for your bass cab and the XLR out to the board as a kind of onboard DI, at the same time?

I'm leaning that way. But I don't want to pick it up just because it's the newest. Problem is it's hard to find these in stock to try out next to each other.

The choice depends on what you want in your sound.

The VTRM gets the closest to the SVT power-tube overdrive.
The RPM has the most tonal flexibility over a wide range of instruments, due to its parametric mids.
The RBI has a pronounced mid-scoop, but also has a high end sparkle.

I own two RPM and a VTRM.

Which is what I'm most looking for, so I think I'll give it a shot.
