So, I love the looks of these basses, and Krist Novoselic certainly made good use of one in Nirvana (Lounge Act, anyone?). Anyway, I was wondering whether these basses have a good in-person tone, as I know something recorded in a studio can be very different from the actual tone of the instrument. Help!

i use one of them all the time, but the tone does vary depending on what your doing with it.
the best sound i have had from it is through my ampeg.

If you DI it, it sounds very electric and clicky, not too unpleasent, but sounds a lot better through an amp.
i have been recording with it recently and will be getting the isolated bass traxs in a few weeks, but for now i can only offer a live vid.
