I am looking to get a battery-powered amplifier to play outdoor "coffee shop" and "storefront" sessions. I currently have one of the Roland MicroCube Guitar amplifiers, and I really like how it performs outdoors with the Jazzmaster guitar. Anyone out there have experience with battery-powered bass amps? Should I look into Roland MicroCube (for bass) or something else???

The instruments I'd like to amplify would be a Fender 1951 RI Precision and an Ergo EUB. I'd be playing with a guitarist who would also have some sort of battery powered amp setup.

thanks for any suggestions or advice you can offer!

The Phil Jones briefcase looks super-awesome; however the $700 price tag is a bit steep for my budget. I think I am looking for something in the "around $300 " range...

thanks tsunami for the suggestion! :)
