    hey gang,
I have a couple of very cool '70s Fender bodies that have been the victims of bad amateur refins. I doubt that either has had the original finish removed. I'd like to lift the existing finish to expose the original poly finish that is underneath without damaging the poly finish underneath if possible.

Can you recommend a product/ process for lifting several layers of paint without damaging the original poly finish underneath? I promise to post pics when I start work!

    thanks,
    Mishka

Likely over in luthier section you will get the most knowledge. But someone handy might be along here soon with help.
