    For Sale-
The original commissioned bass made by Rod at Regenerate Guitar works. It was made for Chef (of this forum) in 2006 and was owned by him and one other TB'er before it came to me a little over a year ago.

    From chef's original posting:

    '51 Precision Reissue 5 string
Very true to 51 form, preamp aside, and about the only way to get an early P headstock and 5 strings...

Built by Rod at Regenerate Guitar works; and the bass that inspired his Heritage line.
    Warmoth wood parts,
hipshot ultralight clover leaf tuners and hipshot vintage plate quick-load bridge,
    Dunlop strap locks

Custom made Nordstrand 51SCPB5 single coil neck pickup wound to SD SCPB3 specs and,
    wound to match Big Single bridge pickup;
Sadowsky preamp setup vol/passive tone stack, blend, treble/bass stack.

Vintage tinted neck maple neck and f/b, vintage stainless frets, beautifully grained blonde ash body.
I have a 'period correct' Precision headstock sticker I've never applied to complete the look...

Bridge and body support string thru bridge, or, string thru body.
~10lbs of crushing single coil P bass tone, plus the baddest bridge bark you can lay hands on!

    $1675.00 shipped CONUS

The Tele headstock makes this bass TRULY one-of-a-kind

but what is really impressive about this instrument is the tonal possibilities that can be achieved. It is also a beautiful instrument to look at - and very well made - a very fine achievement by the Master Craftsmen at RGW

    Great looking bass.

    Come with a case?
Are the pickups RW/RP to each other so minimum hum in center blend position?
Are the control and pickup cavities shielded?

Nice bass. Any interest in a trade? I have a 1999 German Warwick Thumb 5 BO in excellent condition.

I have one very similar to this bass and I can tell you the workmanship is top notch. Mine sounds massive on recordings and in live settings as well. You won't be sorry about owning a Regenerate Guitar Works bass.:D

It will come delivered with a gig bag. The pickups are very nicely balanced and not noisy. The electronics perform as you would expect Nordstrand and Sadowsky gear to.

these were taken by Chef - he captured the instrument so elegantly I had to share these. The bass is exactly as pictured
