I decided I want a behringer us600 to put to multiple uses but I'm concerned about the fact they're made from plastic. Has anyone rehoused pedals? Moreover, are these pedals "tough enough" for the common man?

I have owned a Behringer BSY-600 bass synth for over 3 years with no issues. I had it rehoused and etched back in April and now it feels tougher but like I said it never gave me any issues: and I have big ol size 14 feet!
