    This is a great bass. So great I posted a NBD thread on it. Look below.

    But as soon as I buy a new bass a bass I have been looking for comes along. So thus this beautiful Retronix is up for grabs.

    Here is info and specs on the bass:

    The Retronix R-800 series guitars are designed by renowned guitar artist John Backlund and produced by master luthier Bruce Bennett and guitar industry veteran Kevin Maxfield. Bruce was the man behind many of the Gibson, Steinberger and Tobias instruments that were produced in the Tennessee plant, and Kevin was Semie Mosley's right hand in Mosrite when it was based in the South East. Together with John Backlund they have created the coolest, retrofuturistic guitars and basses available today!

    Specs are:
    * Mahogony body
    * 5 piece maple and walnut laminated neck
    * Dual action truss rod
    * Chromed solid brass ABM style bridge
    * Retrnoix 6 bolt "all access neck" joint
    * 3 single coil Dracowyr pickups custom wound for Retronix
    * 1.5" wide "jazz bass" style neck width at the nut with Maple fretboard

    All Retronix guitars and basses have 5 piece laminate maple and walnut necks, come with choice of rosewood or maple fretboard, and dual action truss rod. Pickguards are white pearloid or tortoise shell.

    I put a custom ebony thumb rest on the bass which it will come with. The rest has been put on with double sided tape so it's real easy to remove. No holes were drilled to hold it down.

    Here is a link with a video review of the bass. It gives you a good insight on what the bass can do.

    The bass has nice low action. Weighs 8 pounds 12 ounces. Balances great.

    It has a wide ranges of sounds. It's very versitle.

    New they are $849.00. Comes with a custom HSC.

    This one is in showroom shape and I am selling it for $650.00 shipped CONUS.

    Paypal or U.S. Postal Money Order are forms of payment I take.

    And by the way it's a low serial #. Under 100.

    Thanks for looking.

    After playing this bass through my new REV Sound RS810 that I got today I have decided to keep it. The combination sounds awesome. Thanks for checking it out.
