Hey guys - is the RH450 & x2 RS210 stacked lound enough for a lound rock drummer?

Or should I bite the bullet and get the RH750 ?

I think those amps actually provide the same power. The voicing is different and the 750 "sounds" louder, but you dont get anymore power. If you are set on TC gear, maybe 2x212's would be a better idea for more volume.

^ Yeah - I really don't want this thread to go down "that" road. Just wondering what the answer to my question is.

This is why I suggested 2 x 212's. More volume, safer bet.

I play with a loud drummer and my RS210 in my practice space is not enough... I have the RH450.
The amp has the juice, but the cab won't keep up on it's own with two guitarists, loud drummer and p/a.

Edit... just read your post above... two RS210's would definately do the job...

That is the rig I have in a rehearsal space with a loud rock drummer. The answer is no it is not loud enough. With a second 8 ohm 210 or better a 4 ohm 410 you would get more volume and a bigger sound in general. It is the RH 450 I am using also.

I know you said you "didn't want to go down that road", but the reality is that even if the power ratings were legit (450 watts vs 750 watts), the difference would not be that great (less then +3db).

The answer is NOT getting the RH750 - it is about more cabs.

    +1

2 x 210 will get the drivers closer to your ears, and you will hear more mids, but you are not going to net any more low end volume than a 410. Combine that with the low/high end roll compression, you will have to try it out to see if the volume is what you need.

gotcha - so you think the RH450 and x2 RS210 (4x10) would be plenty?

I had the RH450 and RS210/212 rig for over a year. It will be loud enough. If it meets your tone goals/expectations then go for it.

    It should suit your needs.

It will definitely be louder than you getting a RH750 + a single 2X10

I gig with the RH450 2x10 combo. It's enough for me. I have a Dual Rec on one side and a 100W Marshall on the other. Looks kind of silly but I don't have to throw my back out lugging a huge cab around. Honestly if I had anything louder the sound guy would probably not like us very much. Adding volume to get over other peoples volume issues rarely ends well.

It WILL be loud enough. Never heard anyone say the RH450 is underpowered until they saw the 'RMS Wattage'. Its a loud amp.

I bit the bullet and just coughed up the extra $$ and got the RH750... that way I'll never "wonder".

I see a lot of 12" recommended and I'm not a 12" fan - so RS210's I'll be sticking to - and the extra power is nice piece of mind... few extra hundred worth it IMO... plus the extra featers that I may use.

Thanks for all the input guys.

Except there is no additional power...
