I've always loved this guy's work - he'll be missed. Its a shame he had to go so young.

  2. Just saw this myself, younger than I thought he was, too young.

Just saw this. Shame he couldn't beat his demons. He was genuinely talented.

That sucks. He was great in everything he was in...maybe excluding twister but that wasn't his fault. But man, that really sucks.

That's sad news. He was great in every role I ever saw him in.

I loved his work in The Graduate.

  12. Are you thinking of Dustin Hoffman?

I'm shocked about Phillip, it's just horrible news.

He was a real talent. It's a shame he couldn't get a hold of his personal demons. Those demons were part of what made him a great actor, IMO. RIP.

  16. Talented guy, big loss. He did a lot of serious roles in big-time movies, but for my money, "I just sharted" is still one of the funniest lines in Hollywood history.

My gf just told me about this. One of the best actor of his generation. I'm not often affected by celebrity deaths but this one does somehow. A real shame. A great actor. Damn drugs. RIP Philip. You leave a good legacy with your movies but we were hoping to see you in more for a long time.

  18. We don't have all the fact yet, just speculation...

Supposedly there is some really dangerous laced heroin going around right now, if indeed a celebrity died from it, maybe it will help bring more attention to the problem. (not that is any consolation to the Hoffman family :()

    Be safe people!!

He'd been in rehab last year. Unfortunately everything points to drugs. Also i was under the impression this was more than speculation at this point.
