    Did not even realise she was still alive. I had a childhood crush on her kind of like Darla on the little rascalls.

    She grew up to be a very beautiful woman. First a child star, then a career diplomat. A life well lived. RIP, Shirley.

    It's been a while since my last grenadine and ginger ale based beverage. If I'd known it'd be my last, I would've let it know I loved it, right down to its maraschino cherry garnish.:(
