Cubes are nice. This one's fine for practice volume by yourself/doing your own recordings. You're not going to be able to do much of anything else with it, though, unless all the other guys you might play with turn w-a-y low.

As for filter, there isn't one built in. But pick up a pedal, run your instrument cable to it & another cable from the pedal to the amp's instrument input, & you're good to go.

    Pro Effects
The CUBE-20XL's FX section provides six types of great-sounding digital effects, including Chorus, Flanger, Phaser, Tremolo, Heavy Octave, plus independent Delay and COSM Spring Reverb. For hands-free selection, an optional footswitch can be used to switch the EFX on and off.

Thanks iualum, but that one is for the electric guitar, not the bass cube version.

I have the 120XL, and it's a great practice and small club amp. Still, it's NOT a replacement for an envelope filter. The amp modelling is OK, but not extraordinary.

O.K., my mistake, sorry. Here's the BASS Cube 20XL, same as the link you posted. Although I inadvertently linked the wrong version, the bass Cube also has no built-in filter. Again, though, run a separate filter & there you are.

    XL Power for Bassists!
The most portable of the family, the CUBE-20XL BASS, features 20 watts of power, an 8-inch custom speaker, six COSM amp models, pro-quality effects (Reverb, Delay, Chorus, Solo, Poly Octave, Compression, and Overdrive), Power Squeezer for big sound at low volume, and 3-band EQ.
