This is the famous Sadowsky that was for sale here a couple of months ago. It was the one Guitar Center dropped from the rack and the bottom/right side broke into pieces. I bought it and had it fixed. it was either getting a new body for over $2k or fixing it but would have scars for life.

Please have a look at the pictures before you decide to buy it. If you are picky and too concern about cosmetics DO NOT BUY THIS BASS. Otherwise for those who don't care about cosmetic - this an NYC 4 string with quilted top/ash body and maple/maple neck. Sadowsky electronics with no/vtc.

It plays, feels and sounds great. I need to help fund another bass. Selling only - $1875 shipped (what I have invested).

If it doesn't sell - I don't mind keeping it. Its NYC and a great player.

All the hits on this before and no bumps yet? I think you did a great repair (or you luthier) and have an excellent player there. If I needed another 4 I would snag this. GLWTS.

It was fixed by a local luthier here in NYC. He did recommend a strip/refinish job to make the scars almost invisible. I was fine with it the way it is as it doesn't affect the sound or playability.

This is a great deal. I once had a 55-02 that had been similarly repaired and it was a great player, sounded.

Remember, Jaco's bass was busted into a dozen or so pieces, and it was returned to it's former glory....

Great bass, wish I had the cash.

Amazing deal for a players bass. I'd trade my Mint 4003 for it.
