    Up for sale is this gorgeous Sadowsky NYC Standard 5 string bass with nonchambered ash body, and maple neck and fretboard. It was built in 1999 and is in excellent shape for a 15 year old bass. It has been played but well taken care of. There are few dings and scratches but mostly on the back and sides. The face is very clean. The back of the neck has a smooth oil finish now. It weighs exactly 9lbs. It feels and plays as good as any new Sadowsky as the frets have just been professionally dressed and still have plenty of life left in them. The sound, however, is better IMO than any new Sadowsky as this bass has a nonchambered ash body! It also has that famous Sadowsky pre with VTC and active/passive switch. It comes with an original hard/soft Sadowsky case. Asking [DEL]$2985[/DEL] $2885 plus shipping.

    Here is a small audio clip with Sadowsky pre active, balance of both pickups middle, tone all the way up, and bass and treble flat. Only a bit of compression was added but no eq at mix. The bass was recorded directly into my RME interface. No fancy preamps or DI's used. This is what the bass actually sounds like.
