I've been looking into the Joseph Schillinger System, and have been looking into his printed work, but on Amazon all copies of the "Schillinger System of Musical Composition" are priced at absurdly high amounts. Why is this, and if it is just a case of idiocy on the part of book-sellers, where can I find this at a reasonable price?

Maybe it's no longer in print? Limited quantities will drive the price up

A paperback two volume set sold on ebay for around $45 on 12/8, the date you opened the thread.

The hardcover books are available new from Amazon for $365. Given what college textbooks cost my son, I can believe it.

I'm glad I got my set decades ago...
