Hey there! So, recently I came across a bass for sale at my local little music store. Just a no name shop in a Canadian town of <3000. I have somewhat complicated feelings on this bass. It is a fretless, and it is a 6-string. I have a love of technical music, especially prog metal and this seems like my key to really start exploring the technical side of my musical liking. At the same time, theres not many musicians where I live and I don't want to not get to play with a group since there looking for someone to play Rush songs or something and here I have this big honkin' junk of wood. So, I'm just curious to hear peoples pros and or cons on this instrument or any other thoughts.

I like the looks, but wouldn't buy it without playing it first. Besides that, go for it as long as you have another bass as well. A 6 string fretless isn't the right bass for every situation.

They are great basses for what they are. Sounds good, plays great. From a 6 string standpoint, I like carvins a bit more, but if you can find a used one at a good price I'd grab it.
