    Sure, it's not pointy, but not every metal band or era used pointy instruments. This looks like it could handle all eras and subgenres of metal.

    Wow! I totally missed the DIO in the design....(closet DIO fan in my youth)

    DIO trumps pointy bass...this is the "best bass for metal"!

    I still think a Hofner with stainless strings would be just fine for metal. Silly points and black laquers.
