    Help me if you can...

I'm trying to find songs where a tremolo effect is used on the bass and used tastefully.

I'm interested in the effect but solo bass demonstration videos on YouTube don't really give an accurate description on how the effect compliments or worsens the song.

    Cheers

I know some Yes was already thrown out, but yeah Chris Squire in Yes is the best bass trem example I can think of. Astral Traveler I think has trem in it too.

I've used a trem & overdrive to get that tone when covering it, but it's actually JPJ playing through a Leslie.

Also, I could be wrong, but I always thought that the bass on Can's Paperhouse had some tremolo on it, as well (probably amp tremolo, if so). It could be a leslie, though.

    Awesome replies people, Thanks!

I love Yes too and can already hear the parts in my head where there is trem.

    Cheers!

I'm a big Can fan and it always sounded like amp tremolo to me too (especially towards the end of the track) but I've never been sure.

I went through a krautrock phase and in the end Neu! and Can were my favorites for very different reasons.
