I just had a few moments with the newest offering from Source Audio, the Manta bass filter. Absolutely amazing. I thought it might be good to have a central location for sharing settings and demo sounds without clogging up the S.A.S.S.

If you haven't heard about the Manta, it is a dramatic upgrade of the Bass Envelope Filter Pro. All of the best features of the BEF are available plus a whole lot more. To my knowledge, this is the only filter pedal with built in drive. This goes beyond anything I have tried before including great pedals like the Xerograph and Wonderlove.

Here is more info on the Manta: http://www.sourceaudio.net/products/soundblox2/manta_bass_filter.php

I have no affiliation with Source Audio, just an avid fan.

As of now, here are a few of my presets:

1.) Phaser 11 filter, sine wave, depth 9:00, speed 9:00, drive level 9:00, drive type clean.

2.) Multi Peak 09 filter, slow attack follower, depth 10:00, speed 11:00, drive level 7:00, drive type soft clip.

I love using setting 1 for the classic Justin Chancellor sound. It is crazy that I can get 3 distinct sounds from this setting based solely on my string attack.

Thanks, Gastric! This is a great sounding pedal and I will be sure to contribute to this thread once I get one.

    want.

I will own this as soon as I sell my TAFM. Seems to be exactly what I'm looking for...and the distortion is just a nice bonus.

I'm pretty stoked on this pedal, but I'm still gonna wait until SA comes out with their MIDI interface. The BEF Pro is working for me and I need all 6 presets.

I want this pedal so bad, can't wait to order one as soon as they're in stock at one of my preferred sellers. Anyone in the know that can estimate when they'll be available from, say, Prymaxe?

SA's been killing it with these SB2 pedals. Can't imagine being without my Dimension and OFD these days. The Manta will more than likely replace my Xerograph dlx (and probably something else too, while it's at it).

Go to Macdaddy music. They have them in stock. I buy all my SA gear from them (6 purchases over the last year or so). Fast shipping, great to work with.

I'll have to look into that. I've been using Prymaxe for a while since they've been great about shipping across the pond - fast, reliable and relatively cheap.
