To use a speakon cable instead of 1/4 in cable, is it just a standard 12gauge speakon cable?

It's on my Ampeg 3 pro to my Eden 212xst.....Amp is rated at either 8 or 4 ohms, Cab is 4ohms(There is no separate 4 or 8 ohm speakon output on Ampeg .and 2 speakon inputs on cab, which are not labeled either...Just want to be sure when I hook it up I don't damage anything, I've never used speakon before.......Thanks!

Just go to Home depot and get some 2 conductor (or 3 conductor, one wire wont be used) SOOW or SJOW cord. Just make sure the wires are in the same terminal on both speakon connectors. SOOW or SJOW cord is very flexible wire cable and is cheaper than instrument speaker wire.
