Hello! Can You tell me, what size of the set screw is used in Jazz Bass stack knob? 8-32 or 6-32?:ninja:
I convert my bass into a Stack knob with concentric pots. As You know Fender doesn't sell the upper knobs with set screw, which is strange thing for me. I live in Europe and unfortunately my local music shops don't sell knob set screws :( I found some screws in UNC size but, I"m not sure which size is correct.
    Please help! ;)

This is one of the weird areas where Fender fails to provide any useful information and the smaller set screws are nowhere to be found as a Fender part while the larger ones are easily obtained. Go figure.

    You may be in luck:

On my 2013 Am Dlx Jazz the concentric knob sets use a standard set screw for the small upper knobs and a smaller set screw for the lower ring knob, even though that seems backwards. I'm assuming that the small concentric knobs and the normal non-stacked knobs on my bass use the standard size 8-32 x 3/16" screws.

Also, these guys should be able to help you verify this:

    Edit to add:

Also, the replacement screws pictured on Fender's website are slotted while the screws on my bass are hex. I just dug up an unopened package of genuine Fender "Jazz Bass Knobs" and they come with 8-32 hex screws.

    Thank You very much!
Well, in mine lower black knobs comes with slotted screws, I posted this topic because I got lost in the Fender's descriptions of these:
    http://www.fender.com/guitar-bass-parts/mounting-hardware/set-screws-for-knobs-24/
It's for American Vintage 62' Jazz Bass, quick looking on google and I was about 99% sure that these screws are correct but:
    http://www.fender.com/guitar-bass-p...-mounting-screws-6-32-x-18-slotted-nickel-12/
This is named as "Stacked Control knob" but after a small research it fits to the American Deluxe P-Basses. So I decided to ask on forum counting that someone who own JB with Stack Knob will tell me the thing that Fender can't.
    Again thanks for reply :)

Awesome! They DO list/sell the smaller screws after all.

Just to rehash: unless your vintage series model has unique knobs, then the #8-32 screw fits big single knobs, small single knobs, and the small/top half of stacked knobs and the #6-32 screw fits the large/bottom half of stacked knobs.

This info is for current production American Jazz style knobs.
