Geesh even Stanley has his collection spread out here bookend-ed by a couple of ACTIVE 4string Fender Jazz basses.

Appears to be a Marcus Miller on the left (hummh I aint ever seen Marcus playing an Alembic Stanley Clarke model :eyebrow:) and looks like an American Deluxe on the left.
I guess Stanley is liking the Ash/Maple thing on a Fender Jazz with active electronics.
KUDOS to him as he certainly has the clout to play WHATEVER he wants and have the Fender clone companies licking at his heels.

In my humble opinion, particularly the American Deluxe from that era (not current 2010-14 models) give the most bang for the buck.

NOTE: Stanley eschews the 5 string bass :smug:

Way before he played Alembics, Stanley used Fender Jazz Basses.

Man, he's got a lot of bass stuff. As much as I love Alembics, I can't see owning more than one..because they're so personal, and they kinda correct your technique. Being a millionaire could maybe change my mind, though.

I think he sold that Smith flying v.

Not so. Here is the new 5 in action 2012. No doubt it will continue to see action. That would seem to be an old photo.

The dude doesn't stand still; that's for sure.

^^^This. I know I've seen that pic before...and I'm almost positive that, with the exception of one of those Alembics, that's Stanley's collection of "Basses I Almost Never Use"
