    Been reading up on these and it seems like they are a killer deal. Aside from getting a great Stingray tone, I wondered if I would be able to get a usable P bass tone. Would stringing the bass with flats help to achieve that? How much tonal variety could you get from this bass?

    Nah! Will not get anything near a P-Bass tone with a Stingray.

    P-bass tone ain't happening with that bass.
