Need a hand held recorder. Found a used Zoom H2 (not H2n) for $50. That's a good deal right?

Saw the hobbit in 3D with the high frame rate. I normally hate 3D and all that but I've dug the hobbit movies in 3D. The action scenes have a ton of depth and look great.

It's a little disorienting for a few minutes but after about 5 min I don't even notice.

  7. What if I used just the p pickup on the Spector?

    Reverse P?? Mmmmm delish.

Realistically if you find the right strings any bass can work. Might just take more eq effort.

Hey gents. Been busy as hell lately. Haven't even gotten to play with my ditto yet. Always nice to pop in for a daily dose of doom and chronic G.A.S. That was a great live recording of Black Mountain in the last thread. They're awesome live.

Damn, I've got a Black Mountain LP around here somewhere. Need to see if I can dig it up to blast over some muted futbol.

Man I wish I bought some vinyl when they came to town. I think from now on if I see a band I'm gonna just get vinyl. Built up a ton of t-shirts.

It's been a few years since they've been to this part of the country, I'd love to see them again. My favorite local bar has Wilderness Heart in the juke box, Rollercoaster gets played often, usually by me.

Thoroughly enjoyed Hobbit II, the only downer with that fps stuff was maybe a bit of the customes looking dumb like the dwarve's oversized hand prosthetics, but fudge it's a movie after all, what a cliff-hanger.

  15. I swear by reverse P's. Tighter bottom end and thicker, fuller highs and mids.

  16. Wilderness Heart is a great album.

  17. Ahhh back in denton, family time officially over, and a nearly month long tolerance break is making it fun.

  18. Oh and 800rb sold to the bass player of lower class brats. His gear got stolen and needed replacements for a tour.

That's what makes me love to hate the movie
