I noticed that you recently lowered your strap height. What is the reason behind that?

I'm always experimenting with strap height and looking for more comfortable positions to play in. I like to make sure I'm avoiding injury at all costs, and adapting my technique accordingly.

Having the strap too short will mean the bass is too high on the body and will cause you to bend your right wrist too much. The straighter the right wrist the better for avoiding long term health issues.

Did you find the your left hand suffered or had to be adjusted when playing lines?

I play a 5 string tuned low E to high C like you. I would love to play with my bass lower as my right hand is much more comfortable ( and quicker) but I find it makes my left hand feel awkward when playing the e and a strings especially at fast tempos.

    Suggestions?
