As sometimes seems to happen, I just dropped $450 on strings and things...Also started lessons again! So, it seems like a good time for my first ever string box clearance! The strings offered are all full sets, E-G, for 3/4 bass.

All prices (obo) shipped CONUS, Paypal ok.

    [DEL]Pirastro Chromcor[/DEL] Sold Locally for $25

Metal core, and quite stiff. Reputed to be very powerful with a bow. Came on my bass a decade or so ago, but were soon replaced and have little play time. [DEL]$42.[/DEL] [DEL]$38[/DEL] [DEL]$33.[/DEL] Last price drop! $30.

    [DEL]Eurosonic Light[/DEL] SOLD

My go to string for the last year and a half. Well used, but still sound great. Were trimmed down by my well-meaning luther, but fits my 3/4 fine, may be too short for 7/8 etc. [DEL]$72.[/DEL] [DEL]$69[/DEL] $65.

    [DEL]DÂ’Addario Helicore Hybrid Med[/DEL] SOLD

Strung on my bass for around 7 years of light use. Still sound good. [DEL]$33.[/DEL] [DEL]$30[/DEL] $25.

    [DEL]Corelli 350A 1/2 Size[/DEL] Off the Market

Bought from a guy who used them on his EUB; tried on my 1/2 size, but only for a couple of days before I swapped them out for synthetic. [DEL]$33.[/DEL] [DEL]$30[/DEL] $25.

    [DEL]Innovation Super Silver[/DEL] SOLD

Got as an Xmas gift, and were only on my bass for a couple of weeks of light use. Very similar to Eurosonics, but with more tension. I decided to just take the leap to gut, so I'm letting these go. $98.

    [DEL]Revolution Solo 2 Pickup[/DEL] SOLD

Sanded down very thin: 4.76 mm thick (according to TB member I bought it from, I did not sand it further.) It just about fit in the gap that my BassMax occupied, but not quite, and my attempts to install it chipped the wood (pictured). Does not include clip. Piezo sounds good and loud.

Good candidate for the $40 wood rehab at Upton. $50.

    The bass rescuer...
what is the tension like on the Eurosonics? Would they be good on an EUB?

The Eurosonics are a low tension string. I feel that they are lower tension than my gut strings, as well as the Innovation Super Silvers I had listed. They are not as low tension as Silver Slaps (or weed wackers), in my experience.

I don't know how they would fare with an EUB, perhaps a search of these forums could help shed light on this? I do know that they amplify (via piezo) beautifully, and I find the sound to be warm and solid.

The best adjective I can think of for these strings is "friendly," esp. compared to steel strings.

Chromcor full set for $30 bump!

I just started on the bow, and I might just string these up if you don't take them off my hands!
