This is a potentially stupid question, but does string gauge affect intonation? I have a .140 B string on my Warwicks, and I can't intonate that string. The saddle won't move far enough away from the nut. I've removed the spring to give me some extra movement but the saddles are hard up against the bridge and can't go any further, and it's still not right. Do I need to play with the truss rod or something? I have no complaints about the action.
