  1. In my fits of SAS (string acquisition syndrome) I've acquired some strings that I want to move along.

Gerold Genssler Sonore Red Label full set. I believe I'm the second owner, and I bought them to put on my "bowing" bass but decided to stick with the Evahs. I never put them on, so I can't comment on their sound or feel etc. They are not gut, rather his fiber core and flat metal winding.
I paid $225, so I'll start there. $200 shipped CONUS. These are about $445 new.

    Gamut Pistoy Medium+ D
I bought this from the original owner who didn't have it on his bass long, and I had it on for about 5 days, no gigs and little playing time. Just a bit thick for my taste. I paid $100, they are $161 new, so how about $90 Shipped CONUS. I'd trade for a lighter guage Pistoy D.

    Thanks for looking!
  2. Do you perhaps remember what the swinging length (mensur) was of the bass that had the Genssler's stringed on? These strings are made bass specific...

  5. All pm's replied, thanks!
  6. Pistoy sold, Sonores still available. I'll let them go for $200 shipped.
  7. Price drop to $200 shipped CONUS for the sonores.

I don't know the string length of the original bass for which they were purchased, but the length of the string is E=128cm, A=135cm, D=125cm, G139cm ball-to-pegbox silks. These strings were on his bass for about 5 weeks.
  8. I would also be open to trades for flat-wound gut A and E strings, a Para EQ, or....???
  9. All strings sold, thanks!
