Are blonde Kay's made of the same wood is normal case is it just a pain job finish or varnish finish or something?… Which bases typically sound warmer? Is there a difference in sound?

It is the finish that differs.

Yes, there were Kays made with ebony fingerboards. In addition, many players have their rosewood fingerboards replaced with ebony fingerboards.

    Excellent! :)
