    Which would be better

    Music man sterling SUB

    OR

    Music Man OLP

    sub if only for the fact you can go out into a store and play new ones and pick the best one

    I'd still take the SBMM SUB's over the OLP's.

    Whats the difference besides the SUB being active and the OLP being passive?

    It's huge.

    The EBMM/SUB active system is really bright and aggressive.

    You won't even come close with a passive OLP.

    Yeah, the whole allure of the Stingray was in it's active circuit!

    had an OLP5, it was cool (may one day get another).
    But yeah the SUB is RAD!
    Eyes closed cant tell em apart from a California made EB Stingray.
