Suggest a JAZZ Duet for M&F vocals

    Suggestions please for EASY Jazz M&F vocal duets that are also fun for the band to play. I'm looking for cool songs that the audience will know (but not too soppy) and not too hard for me on bass and vocals.
    eg. songs with simple bass lines and/or simple melodies on our list:
    New York New York,
    What A Wonderful World,
    My Funny Valentine,
    The Way You Look Tonight.


    The Band:
    Female vocalist - bluesy alto with a bright upper range.
    Me - sing Baritone (Sinatra range) and playing Bass.
    Plus: Drums, Piano, Sax.


    Suggestions so far:
    Unforgettable
    They Can't take that away from me
    Baby it's cold outside
    Dream a little dream
    Summertime
    Cheek to Cheek
    Lets call the whole thing off
    Alexander's Ragtime Band
    Something Stupid.

    Any more suggestions folks?

    Go check out Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald's duet albums. The one titled Ella & Louis has Oscar Peterson, Ray Brown, Herb Ellis, and Buddy Rich as the rhythm section.

    Doesn't get much easier than "All of Me," easy to transpose for the vocalists too.

    Never heard a female singing it, but "Fly Me to the Moon" could be cool as well...also fairly easy :)

    Moon River(Breakfast at Tiffany's) is a great tune, also Pure Imagination(Willie Wonka). All very recognizable.

    Just cause it's been on my mind today, Cole Porter's "So In Love". Wonderful latinish rhythms and very emotional lyric. Not sure about audience knowledge but, they deserve to learn a new song now and again.

    Great album. I got the inspiration from it, and Tony Bennett's Duets albums.

    This seems like a great vocal arrangement and easy on bass
    (plus we're already playing it!!)
