I thought it was great. Chili peppers looked like huge goofballs, but john frusciante's guitar solo was killer! EDIT: Josh Klinghoffer's solo ;) sorry guys.

Highlight ... Bruno Mars bassist's gold sparkle bass. Oh yes.

Not Frusciante, as he left the band a few years back. Bruno and his band, and especially Jamareo Artis KILLED IT! Best halftime show I can remember.

Yeah but the average person couldn't tell because that dude didn't stop thrashing around long enough to see his face!

Bruno did a great job. He has a great voice IMO.

RHCP stunk. They can't carry Bruno's jock.

Mars and his band KILLED. Fantastic talent, Mars.

Worst halftime show I've ever seen.

Seriously? I thought it was one of the better ones I could remember. Lots of energy!

The commercials this year are pretty lame though!

Wow, real harsh words here. The kid reeks of ability. I loved the show. Nice to see real melodies being written again.

Helluva a lot better than divas with wardrobe malfunctions, back up lipsynchers flipping off cameras and old dudes that shoulda gave it up along time ago. Cool drum intro.

I hope this is a joke..... I mean, the whole show was great, but RHCP is arguably one of the best bands ever and definitely one of the best active bands today. I'm not a huge fan of the Chili Peppers' music, but to state that they 'stink,' is absurd. I guess they've been around so long that it's now 'cool,' to say they suck...

You posted this in all the halftime threads (Ya I looked at'em cause the game stinks). But if you think this years show was worse than the Fergie show you are loony tunes, with all due respect to you.;)

They didn't show it at halftime. Their music was a real mismatch and they came off completely out of place. Mars looked and sounded classy and they looked stupid running around half bare-assed and completely shifting the sound of the music. Maybe they just drew the short straw from a music director who didn't have a clue, but their performance was a failure.

I found it to be unwatchable/unlistenable. No question there's a boatload of talent there, but to me, it was an over-the-top example of style over substance, which is the antithesis of why I play music and listen to music. Didn't see the peppers.

Definitely overshadowed last year's halftime show.
