    Hi,
I'm looking at the tc electronics bg250 combo amp and have heard good things about it. The first version of the 115 had a tube drive knob and a toneprint knob but the mk2 has dropped the tube drive for a second toneprint.
Has anyone any good or bad experience with either amp? I've read that you can only use one toneprint at a time so i'm wondering whether to go for the mk1 with the tube drive while its still available. Any preferences?

I have the first version which I think is great.

I am not a big fiddler with the tone prints.

I like the tube drive, and have not yet ventured into changing the tone print download.

If you like playing, get the second version.

I like the great deal I got with the old model; I paid $250 for it new.

Thanks for that. I like the idea of the tone print but not sure how much I'd use it in reality.

Can you mix the toneprint with the tube drive on your first version or does the toneprint override all the other controls?

Yes - you can use both the Tubedrive and the Toneprint at the same time on the first version.

I don't use either very much - however, I think it was stupid of TC to make is so you can only use one of the two Toneprint slots at a time on the new versions.

    I'd say get a good deal on a mk1...

Thanks. First version sounds the way to go.
