Just wondering is there much difference? Is the VTDI just like the VT Bass with a blend knob and DI? Different sounds?

Those who have used both, please add your thoughts.....

  2. I don't own either but I've been reading another thread about it. My understanding is that the original VT Bass has a 6db per octave high frequency roll-off that is active when the speaker sim is bypassed to keep the sound from becoming too trebly/shrill. The new VT DI doesn't include this high frequency roll-off. But Tech21 can modify it with a capacitor to make it like the original VT Bass. Or you can do the mod yourself if you're good at that sort of thing.
