Great halftime show. This man has the talent to save pop music from the abyss. I wish him luck and a long career, and I hope the younger generation of musicians coming up give him their respect.

I'll paste what I said in another thread on this subject:

    Never heard of them.

Watched a little bit of the lip-synched, playing to a pre-recorded performance, and was not impressed.

  6. He ripped off James Brown pretty good, but I guess every generation rips off a bit from the one before them. Bruno Mars and his band have talent and are a good show to see.

Holy sh*t, I heard that song the other day very quietly in a restaurant and I thought it was some old Police song I had somehow never heard.

He is what Michael Jackson used to be only with a better voice IMO.

Worst halftime show I've ever seen.

I was really expecting RHCP to be the high point, but Bruno Mars really blew me away. And he seriously reminds me of a modern day morph of Michael Jackson and Sting. Super groovy, great voice.

It bums me out and makes me feel so old to say this but I thought Bruno and his band were great. I realize that this had to be pre-recorded but if this is what they actually do live, then damn, good for them.

Meh, I'm not impressed by backup dancers and flashy costumes. They should have had Metallica play

Did any of you notice, as I did - that Flea's bass did not even have a cord plugged in. NOTHING ! I know they are faking, but they could at least try to hide that fact !

After seeing that, I'm wondering what's easier, singing while playing bass or dancing while playing bass?
  19. Lip syncing or not, it was all far superior to the game.

Hey, I'm a Red Sox fan, so I'm just thanking my lucky stars I didn't have to sit through James Taylor again. ;)
